Agents of the Four Seasons: A Fresh Take on Anime
The upcoming anime series, Agents of the Four Seasons, created by Kana Akatsuki of Violet Evergarden fame, has sent ripples of excitement through the anime community. Scheduled for release on March 28, the series has recently unveiled its main trailer along with the captivating opening and ending theme songs. Orangestar and Kase are the talented artists behind the enthralling songs titled “Petals” and “Hanaikada,” respectively.

The storyline, illustrated by Suoh, originally began as a light novel published under ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint in April 2021. Yen Press is responsible for licensing the novel, introducing readers to a world where Winter, once the sole season, found solace in creating Spring out of a desire for companionship. This act set off a chain reaction, birthing Summer and Autumn, leading to the emergence of the Agents of the Four Seasons, tasked with maintaining the delicate balance of nature. The tale follows Hinagiku, the reclusive Agent of Spring, who resurfaces after a decade-long absence, determined to restore harmony to the world.
