Scott Pilgrim Creator says casting was “all or nothing”
In an interview with Den of Geek, the creator of Scott Pilgrim, Bryan Lee O’Malley revealed that the anime took an “all or nothing” approach to the return of the live-action cast.
He said that if even one person had refused, then the entire cast would have been changed.
Fortunately, everyone accepted the invitation.
“The spell would be broken if one component was missing. I think the special feeling of the show comes, in large part, from the returning cast. Their friendship has gotten us here. It’s a beautiful thing.”
