Attack on Titan Voice actor wrote lines for documentary about Eren
The Japanese broadcaster NHK showed a documentary about the lifestyle of Eren Yeager in preparation for the premiere of the final episode of Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin).
The protagonist is the first fictional anime character to be interviewed on Shigoto no Ryuugi (“Work Style”, in free translation), a program that invites professionals from different areas to investigate how their ideas arise, what their processes are like, how they deal with trial and error, etc.
On his profile on X (formerly Twitter), Eren’s voice actor, Yuki Kaji commented on the interview process, revealing that he wrote the character’s answers at the request of the original manga author, Hajime Isayama.
“When I received the offer, I was so intimidated that I declined. However, I later learned that the person who wanted me to write these lines was none other than Mr. (Hajime) Isayama himself. After much consideration and conversations on both sides, I have decided to accept.”declarou Kaji.
He also highlighted how having played the character for a decade helped him with this: “Thinking about Eren, the story and Mr. Isayama, I projected myself into the production. I put my heart and 10 years of thoughts and feelings into writing this. I am truly very honored. Thank you for this precious opportunity. I hope the audience enjoyed it this as a special program for the final broadcast.”
The actor also commented on how he looked for aspects in common with the character and avoided spoilers of the final episode when constructing the lines: “In particular, I feel like the word ‘struggle’ and the way he perceives the concepts of ‘family’ and ‘professionalism’ are very close to me. Since the last episode hasn’t aired yet, there were a lot of things I was talking about. I could not or should not write, and I am aware that I did not express them adequately.”
Finally, he invited fans to watch the last episode of the anime and concluded with the following sentence: “I’m glad I met Eren Yeager”.
Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 2 debut in November 4th.

Vinland Saga Creator reveals what fans can expect from the finale
Recently, the creator of Vinland Saga, Makoto Yukimurawas in Canada was a guest at the Toronto International Authors Festival (TIFA) and at a Japan Foundation event.
In an interview with Anime Trending, in addition to revealing that he had to change the beginning of the story to obtain approval from the publisher and detail his historical research process, the mangaka commented on what readers can expect from the end.
“Actually, I don’t know what will happen at the end of this story! I believe that when the manga ends, everyone hopes for a happy ending, but there are historical facts. That’s the part difficult for me at the moment.
According to the story, the end of Thorfinn’s journey is tragic. Something truly tragic will happen to these characters. ‘How can I make this not a complete tragedy?’. This is something I’m working on now. What should I do?” said Yukimura.
The interviewer then suggested that he give the character a happy ending, after all, it is fiction. So, the author stated that he will do his best to move in that direction.
Vinland Saga is serialized in the monthly magazine Afternoon. The manga published in Japan by Kodansha since 2005 it has 27 volumes to date. In Brazil, the title was released by Panini.
