The background behind the establishment was the issue of the low retention rate of young creators and lack of training opportunities in the anime industry. As it becomes increasingly difficult to secure resources for external studios due to an industry-wide shortage of human resources, KADOKAWA believes that it is essential to proactively develop human resources in-house and maintain a stable production base in order to continue to consistently deliver high-quality IP.
The first characteristic of KADOKAWA Creators is that it is a ``nurturing and production integrated'' studio where young creators acquire skills through practical work at actual production sites. Both experienced and young creators are on staff, and we have built a system where young people can learn techniques directly from experts through practical work, and systematically acquire professional know-how. Additionally, as a standalone studio, we will function as a high-quality production base responsible for the production of original drawings and videos for KADOKAWA Group works. We also employ young people as employees and guarantee a stable livelihood. Furthermore, in addition to being fully equipped with the latest digital production equipment, we will also introduce unique programs such as ``Animator Drill'' that condenses the knowledge of the studio and video studio.
From now on, they have announced that they would like to work closely with educational institutions within the group and establish a unique, all-in-one human resource development ecosystem that connects educational institutions, KADOKAWA Creators, and each production studio. In addition to supporting the long-term career development of each employee, the company plans to secure a strong in-house production line by increasing the ratio of in-house production, mainly among young employees.
