Arisa Yukimiya's new series ``Hare no Hike no Hi ~Hannari Landlady Ouchi-san~'' started in the June issue of Manga Time Kirara Forward (Houbunsha), released today, April 23rd.

Moe Himie, a high school girl who has just moved from Tokyo to Kyoto, encounters Eriko Ouchi, the proprietress of the long-established Kyoto folding fan shop in which she is indebted, as she violently slams irises onto the ground. It was the traditional Japanese custom of irises, which is held in conjunction with Boys' Festival. Moe filmed the scene and somehow posted the video on SNS... This is a story that conveys the charm of Kyoto while depicting Eriko and Moe's lively daily life.
The Inspiration Behind the New Arc
In addition, in the June issue of Manga Time Kirara Forward, an article by Yukimiya explaining about the work was published. It describes Yukimiya's interactions with Rie Onishi, the fourth proprietress of Onishi Tsune Shoten, a long-established Kyoto folding fan shop who passed away in August 2025, and the inspiration for the main character, Eriko, as well as the circumstances that led to the series.
