The second season of the TV anime “Saga of Tanya the Great” will begin broadcasting in July. The key visual and the first main PV have been released. Tomokazu Sugita will play the new character Mikel, and Yoko Hikasa will play the role of Liliya.
The key visual includes the catchphrase ``It's a victory too far to hope for.'' and depicts Tanya, who leads the Salamander Combat Team, and Visha, Weiss, and Granz, who are the core of the group and have been fighting together since the days of the 203rd Air Magic Battalion. In addition to the dynamic scenes of Tanya and the others, the main PV includes scenes of the commanders of the Imperial Army General Staff and members of the multinational volunteer force fiercely resisting the Empire.

Mikel, played by Sugita, is a magician in the Federation Army. Wizards were subject to persecution in the Federation, but when the need for them was recognized during the war with the Empire, they returned to active duty from Lageli and were dispatched to the multinational volunteer army.
Lilya, played by Hikasa, is a junior political commissar who also serves as a lieutenant in the federal army. Although he has a friendly and soft demeanor, he is a character who resolutely carries out the party's instructions.
In addition, the introduction of the second season has been released. Prior to the broadcast of the second season, the first season will be rebroadcast on TOKYO MX and BS11 from April 8th.
"Tanya Senki" is a fantasy war story in which an elite Japanese office worker is reincarnated as Tanya Degurechaff, a fair-skinned young girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. The original work is a novel of the same name by Carlo Zen, and the TV anime was broadcast from January 2017, and the movie version was released in February 2019. The role of Tanya is played by Aoi Yuki.
