The ReVIBES Project has been launched, a project to create collaborative art between IPs such as manga, anime, and games, which are known as "timeless masterpieces," and artists from Japan and abroad who are active today.
The First Collaboration
Collage art of "COBRA" and collage artist Kosuke Kawamura, the first work of "ReVIBES Project"
This project, co-funded by Toei Video and TANGLE, will reinterpret works from a new perspective through a collaboration between "timeless masterpieces" and contemporary artists. As the first part, collage art and shredder art by Takeichi Terasawa ``COBRA'' and collage artist Kosuke Kawamura were released. The collage art uses plenty of COBRA's original data, and the hair is mirror-processed using metal canvas, so the expression changes depending on the angle. Shredder art is a piece of art reconstructed using Kawamura's unique method, in which the picture is printed in separate layers on aluminum canvas and acrylic board, and the acrylic board is placed floating, creating a work that gives it a physical layered structure.
Auction and Exhibition
ReVIBES Project also holds a registration-based auction. The limited edition works will be auctioned for the first time at venues in Tokyo and online. Details on how to participate and the exhibition will be announced on the official website at a later date.
