FamilyMart Teams Up with Meiji for a Manga‑Art Collectible Blitz
Fans of Sailor Moon can finally lay hands on a piece of Naoko Takeuchi's original artwork without hunting down vintage manga. Starting October 13, FamilyMart stores across Japan will hand out A4‑sized clear files that showcase freshly recolored panels straight from the classic series. The twist? You just need to purchase two qualifying Meiji chocolates in a single checkout.
What’s Inside the Five Designs?
Each double‑sided file highlights a different duo or group of Guardians. The first showcases Sailor Moon herself in a dreamy pastel scene, with Sailor Chibi Moon on the flip side. The second pairs Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter, echoing their cool blue‑green palettes. A fiery red‑orange spread features Sailor Mars and Sailor Venus, while the fourth file celebrates the Outer Guardians, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. The final design gathers the five Inner Guardians plus Sailor Pluto, and the reverse offers a bold portrait of Sailor Saturn. In total, the set covers all ten original Guardians and adds Chibi Moon for extra fan‑service.

Unlike recent merchandise that commissions brand‑new illustrations, this collection respects Takeuchi's legacy by using the very panels that introduced readers to Usagi Tsukino and her crew. The artwork has been meticulously recolored by the mangaka herself, giving longtime fans a fresh yet authentic visual experience.
How to Qualify
Meiji’s lineup includes popular items like Galbo chocolate pouches, Meltykiss Premium Chocolate, Almond Chocolate, Macadamia Chocolate, and the iconic Kinoko no Yama and Takenoko no Sato biscuits. Prices range from 238 yen for a Meltykiss stick pack to 330 yen for the Nama no Toki Moist Milk Chocolate, tax excluded. Grab any two of these in one transaction and the clear file is yours—no extra cost.
Earlier this year, Sailor Moon also partnered with Meiji for a gummy candy collection, but the new FamilyMart promotion shifts the focus back to pure manga art. The campaign ends on October 26, though the files may vanish sooner if shelves empty. International fans will have to wait for any official overseas release.
For those eager to preserve a piece of magical‑girl history, these clear files are a must‑have, blending nostalgia with a splash of new color straight from Takeuchi’s hand.
