Volume 1 of ``Nami no Mamani'' by Keiko Nishi, who wrote ``Tatan'' and ``Issei no Issei'', was released today, March 30th.
``Mani Between the Waves'' is a collection of one-shots related to radio that have been published in the Big Comic Original Special Issue (Shogakukan). In addition to ``Miyuki,'' which depicts a girl who cannot come to terms with the woman her father has remarried, and ``A New Morning,'' which depicts the interaction between boys and girls through radio exercise, the album includes ``TRAVELING RADIO BUS,'' ``On the 2nd Floor of a Distant Station,'' ``One and Three,'' and ``When Spring Comes.'' Nishi, an avid radio listener, chooses different topics for each one-shot, such as mini FM stations and long-running morning programs, and depicts the drama of various characters.
