Tanabata Celebrations in Full Swing
Today, July 7, 2026, is “Tanabata”. Official accounts for various anime, characters, and more have released many Tanabata illustrations and Tanabata shots that are exclusive to today, becoming a hot topic with comments such as ``It's God!!! Thank you!!!''.
Tanabata is an annual Japanese event held on July 7th, where people write wishes on strips of paper and hang them on bamboo trees, based on the legend that Orihime and Hikoboshi cross the Milky Way on this night and can only meet on this day.
Special Illustrations and Messages
The Chibi Maruko-chan official website posted a special illustration of Sugiyama-kun and Kayo-chan, saying, ``Today is Tanabata. I hope everyone's wishes come true.'' The post received comments such as ``Kayo-chan is too cute,'' ``I love this pair,'' and ``I'm rooting for Kayo-chan's love for Sugiyama-kun!!''
Kuromi-chan's official account released a back view of Kuromi-chan writing a wish on a strip of paper, saying, "What did you write?!...It's a secret!" Comments included ``Kuromi-sama is a cute girl,'' ``I'm curious about what you wrote, Kuromi-chan,'' and ``Kuromi-chan is always doing her best, so I hope all your wishes come true!!''

Other anime series, such as ``My Happy Marriage'' and ``SAKAMOTO DAYS'', also released special Tanabata illustrations and messages, showcasing the unique personalities and traits of their characters.
In ``My Happy Marriage'', the official website posted a limited edition illustration titled ``On Tanabata day, under the night sky, two happy people - Tanabata special illustration released.'' It depicts Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudo gazing at each other with the Milky Way in the background, receiving comments such as ``The Tanabata illustration is so beautiful!'' and ``It's divine!!! Thank you very much!!!''
In ``SAKAMOTO DAYS'', an illustration was uploaded, saying, ``Every month we will deliver newly drawn visuals and new mini audio dramas with a seasonal theme. July is Tanabata!! Sakamoto is shocked by the wish that Hana-chan wrote on a strip of paper...?'' The comment section was filled with joy, saying, ``So cute! Do your best, Papa'' and ``We're Hana-chan!!! ``CHOPPER's'' official website released an illustration of Chopper saying, ``Did you all ask for Tanabata? Write it on a blue strip of paper.'' Chopper can be seen tying a strip of paper with a wish written on it to a bamboo leaf.
In addition, the official website for ``Marriage Toxin'' released a wish from the main character Gero Hikaru, saying, ``I hope your marriage goes well.'' ``Tatsunoko Productions'' posted a close-up of the Doronbo gang, asking, ``If Dronbow and his gang were to write a strip of paper, what kind of wish do you think they would write?''
``Two People Smoking Resin Behind the Supermarket'' released an illustration saying, ``I hope it's sunny tomorrow at Tanabata.'' These official Tanabata posts aim to blow away the gloomy weather, and fans are looking forward to seeing what official accounts will participate next year.
