The long-running new series "The Happiness Found by a Dying Maiden" based on the original work by Kano Naruse started today, May 22nd, in Bungeishunju's Seasons.
The Storyline
Nina, a dying girl who was sold as a slave, is bought by Clive, a quiet man with a young child. Nina fears what kind of misfortune she will face, but Clive never hurt her. Meanwhile, he is entrusted with taking care of the young Tsumugi. In order to protect Tsumugi, who has the mysterious power to heal any wounds it touches, Nina lives with Clive pretending to be a couple.

Nina, the protagonist, is a strong and determined girl who is willing to do anything to survive. Clive, on the other hand, is a quiet and mysterious man who is hiding secrets of his own. Tsumugi, the young child, is the key to unlocking the mysteries of the story and has the power to heal any wounds.
