The Inspiration Behind the New Arc
Two of the greatest anime-inspired RPGs are crossing over in a major 2026 event. The cast of Zenless Zone Zero is going on an intergalactic adventure with the crew of Honkai: Star Rail later this winter.
Global gaming publisher HoYoverse officially revealed that two of its biggest franchises, Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero, will collide later this year. The highly anticipated crossover was teased in a previous ZZZ update, which featured the adorable conductor Pom-Pom hanging out at the Video Store run by Wise and Belle.
New Update Details
Additionally, new details about Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5, 'To Roll the Stars in Astropolis,' were officially revealed ahead of its August 26 launch. The summer-themed update will include new limited-edition 5-Star versions of Robin and Aventurine, granting them new combat styles and skills to go with their stunning new swimwear.
Ahead of its winter collaboration with ZZZ, the Astral Express crew has their sights set on some summer fun in the upcoming HSR update scheduled for late August. Version 4.5 will give the Trailblazer their own 'beach episode,' while furthering the plot of Planarcadia following the Express Crew's victory over Lord Ravager Asat Pramad.
5-Star Wind character on the Path of Remembrance, Robin • Summeretto, will debut during the first half of Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5.
In combat, Robin • Summeretto will also take the stage and sing alongside her little bird band, providing buffs for the team. At the same time, her teammates' actions will accumulate Vibes for Robin • Summeretto. After she uses her Skill and her Vibes reach a certain level, her voice will bring the team to a Fever Pitch.
Honkai: Star Rail is available to download as a free-to-play title on mobile, PC, and PlayStation 5 consoles. Zenless Zone Zero is also available as a F2P game on mobile, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. HSR is currently collaborating with the fantastical servants of Fate/stay night.
