"Heroaka" 10th Anniversary Celebrations: Visuals, Screenings, Live Performances and More

The anime "My Hero Academia" based on the original work by Kohei Horikoshi celebrated its 10th anniversary today, April 3rd. In addition, the 10th anniversary project has started and the key visual has been released.

The first season of "My Hero Academia" began broadcasting on April 3, 2016. The key visual was drawn by animator Yoshihiko Umakoshi, who has been the character designer since the first season and has created a total of 37 visuals for TV anime and movie versions. The visual features 32 characters, the largest number ever seen. Deku, Katsuki Bakugou and other students of Yuei High School Hero Department Class A, professional heroes such as All Might, and members of the enemy (villain) coalition such as Shigara Kisara are depicted. The background uses the same design as the first season key visual. It was also revealed that the same visual will appear in various places in the future and will be made into merchandise.

The visual for "More" scheduled to be broadcast on May 2nd has also been released. "More" is an additional episode that was included in the 42nd volume of the original work and depicts eight years after graduating from Yuei High School, and was made into an anime as part of the 10th anniversary project. The visual shows Deku, Bakugou, Shoto Todoroki, Tenya Iida, Ochako Uraraka, and Tsuyu Kagofuki rushing to the scene eight years later.

It has also been decided that an event titled "Character Matchup Name Episode Screening" will be held. At this event, character match-ups will be selected and episodes related to them will be screened at movie theaters in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and other locations. The first event, to be held on May 16th, will focus on "Ochako Uraraka x Himiko Toga". Five episodes will be delivered that strongly depict the relationship between two people who met as a hero and an enemy (villain). There will also be stage greetings from Ayane Sakura, who plays Ochako, and Misato Fukuen, who plays Toga. The screenings also include ``More''. Please wait for further information on the first screening theater and details on the second and subsequent screenings.
