“DARK MACHINE THE ANIMATION” is scheduled to be broadcast on Fuji TV this year. This is a completely new original anime by DARK MACHINE, a cross-media project of e-sports games and anime. Set in a near-future Japan where Chiba has separated from the Kanto region due to rapid sea level rise, the story depicts the growth of the main character, Kairi, who challenges the e-sports game ``Dark Machine'' in search of his own survival and reason for survival, and the e-sports team he belongs to. Goro Taniguchi is the creative producer of the anime. Hidetaka Tenjin is the mechanical designer, Kazuo Terada is the director, and Production +h. is in charge of animation production.
The four people announced as additional cast members are the rival team of Kairi's team ``CARBUNCLE,'' and they are the characters who hold the key to the story. Okitsu will play the role of Myojin, the leader of the e-sports team ``GREAT CLUSTER'' who takes an interest in Kairi and becomes deeply involved with her, while Suzuki will play the role of Ryo, the leader of the e-sports team ``Arudabil'' who often clashes with Kairi and the others. In addition, Nakamura and Horikane will play Kinji and Hill, Ryo's team members and childhood friends, respectively.
