The Story Behind Ghost in the Shell
``Ghost in the Shell'' is a cyberpunk action movie based on a science fiction manga by Shirow Masamune that began serialization in ``Young Magazine Pirated Edition.'' The film depicts how the aggressive force ``Ghost in the Shell'', led by Major Motoko Kusanagi, a full-body prosthetic body (cyborg) with excellent abilities in cyber warfare and combat, confronts highly complex and violent crimes.

The opening theme has been decided to be King Gnu's "GO GHOST". King Gnu is a four-piece band consisting of Daiki Tsuneta, Yu Sekiyu, Kazuki Arai, and Osamu Iguchi, and has performed the theme song for various works.
It has been announced that the ending theme will be MILLENNIUM PARADE's "Blue". This will be the first time that King Gnu and MILLENNIUM PARADE will be in charge of the theme song for the same work.
