"Kimi Ai" Anime Announced: Yui Ishikawa as Elsa, Soma Saito as Julius

Natsu Mizuno's original work by Kei Misawa, ``The next duke who said, ``I have no intention of loving you,'' has come to dote on you for some reason'' has been adapted into an anime. It will be broadcast on the TV Asahi network BS Asahi from July. It has been announced that Yui Ishikawa will play the role of Elsa Yukalainen and Soma Saito will play the role of Julius Loias.

``Kimi-Ai'', also known as ``The next duke who said, ``I have no intention of loving you,'' somehow ends up doting on you'' is a heartwarming romantic comedy about Elsa, the daughter of a fallen aristocrat who lives a positive life despite being poor, and Julius, the elite but clumsy and troubled next duke. The story depicts how two people contract a marriage due to common interests, but as they spend time together, they come into contact with each other's kindness, and eventually become a real couple. The original work is currently being serialized in COMIC Polaris.

The released main visual ``Doting Premonition Edition'' depicts a smiling Elsa and Julius looking at her. Along with the visuals, a teaser PV has also been released.

The animation will be produced by Zeroji, who worked on ``The Grieving Ghost Wants to Retire,'' and Glass, who worked on ``Behemoth, an S-rank monster, but he's mistaken for a cat and lives as an elf girl knight.'' The director is Hitoyuki Matsui, who is known for ``Tonica Kawaii,'' and the series is composed by Tomoko Konparu, who is known for ``Kimi ni Todoke.'' The character design was decided to be Yuko Yahiro from ``Kaguya-sama: Love Is War''.

Congratulatory illustrations have arrived from Mizuno. Another commenter said, ``Thanks to all the support we have received, we are now able to make the wonderful announcement that it will be made into an anime.'' Misawa expressed his surprise at the anime adaptation, saying, ``The scenario, character settings, art settings, cast, etc. are all truly wonderful, so please look forward to it!''
