Marvel & Star Wars Join Forces in New WEBTOON-Powered App Launch

Massive Library Debuts with Star Wars and Disney Titles

Marvel Comics and WEBTOON are rolling out a new digital hub that instantly grants access to more than 35,000 titles. Among the heavy hitters are classic Marvel sagas, the sprawling Star Wars universe, and a slew of 20th Century Studios properties. The sheer scale makes it one of the biggest comic‑reading services in the U.S. right now.

Pricing Tiers Tailored for Every Fan

Subscribers can choose a Base tier at $9.99 a month (or $69.99 yearly) that unlocks the entire back‑catalog, though brand‑new issues appear three months post‑release. For the impatient collector, the Ultimate tier costs $12.49 monthly (or $99.99 annually) and drops fresh chapters after just one month. A limited‑time $59 introductory offer for the first year of the Ultimate plan is also on the table via the official site.

Features That Feel Like a Comic‑Reader’s Dream

The app supports both traditional left‑to‑right scrolling and vertical scroll formats, letting readers pick their preferred flow. A dynamic cover‑scroll interface showcases thousands of covers at a glance, while personalized recommendations learn from reading habits. Dedicated character and creator pages let fans follow arcs across multiple series, and the Pull List auto‑adds new issues as soon as they drop. An enhanced smart‑panel mode zooms into individual panels for crystal‑clear mobile reading.

WEBTOON Entertainment’s President Yongsoo Kim highlighted the partnership as “a new chapter in helping fans connect with the stories they love,” merging WEBTOON’s platform expertise with Marvel’s storytelling legacy. General Manager David Abdo echoed the sentiment, noting the collaboration aims to evolve with how readers discover comics.

Beyond the marquee franchises, the platform will host original WEBTOON series, including the eagerly awaited That Time Deadpool Fell Into WEBTOON by creator Ucheomaaa. The Marvel Comics app will first appear at New York Comic Con (Oct. 8‑11) in booth #2435, giving attendees a hands‑on preview before the public rollout.
