Volume 114 of Eiichiro Oda's ``ONE PIECE'' was released today, March 4th. In addition, the cumulative circulation worldwide has exceeded 600 million copies. To commemorate this, a special project will be developed in which Oda will record the "truth" of "ONE PIECE" and the main character Monkey D. Luffy.
As a special project, a project movie will be released on the "ONE PIECE" YouTube channel. In the video, Oda asks what "ONE PIECE" is. The video shows him writing the secret related to the answer on a piece of paper, and on the piece of paper torn at the top and bottom is written ``What is ONE PIECE and what is Monkey D. Luffy?''. The "truth" drawn on the bottom half of the paper is sunk to the bottom of the ocean along with the treasure chest until the end of the story, and is then revealed to the public. Today's morning editions of the Asahi Shimbun and Yomiuri Shimbun newspapers carry a full-size copy of the top half of the paper as an advertisement.
The global character popularity poll "WT100 (World Top 100)" started today. This is the second time since it was held in 2021 to commemorate the 1000th episode of the series. Target voting is 1560 characters. Voting is possible from all over the world, and the weekly Top 5 by region will be announced every Monday at midnight starting March 16th. Voting can be done via the ``WT100'' special website, the ``ONE PIECE BASE'' app, or by postcard, and voting by postcard requires a designated voting ticket. The voting ticket comes with the 114th volume obi, Weekly Shonen Jump, which will be sold from March 9th to June 11th, and the April issue of Saikyo Jump, which will be released today (both from Shueisha). The final results will be announced at "ONE PIECE DAY '26" scheduled to be held in August.
