Petit Cure Season 3: Collaboration with Tamagotchi and New Releases
The fans of the long-running PreCure franchise have some really great news coming their way. The third season of the popular spin-off short anime, Petit Cure ~Precure Fairies~, is officially set for release on March 26th. This series has been a hit for its unique take on the magical girl world, and now, we finally have some fresh visuals and PVs to get excited about. If you are a fan, you already know that Pretty Cure is a massive series with a very dedicated following, and these shorts are just the perfect little treats for the community.
A New Concept: Petit Cure Cure ~♡ Relax
For those who are new to this, Petit Cure ~Precure Fairies~ is actually a nonverbal animation. There is no dialogue at all; instead, it focuses on the adorable fairies and other "little friends" that we see in the main series. The concept for Season 3 is titled "Petit Cure Cure ~♡ Relax". While we have already seen settings like Mysterious Yuenchi and Strange Paradise, this time around, the creators are introducing many other new settings to explore.
The character roster is also growing quite significantly. In addition to the regulars, 11 new characters will be appearing as Petit Cures. Some of the most anticipated additions include:
- Purirun from "Kimi to Idol PreCure♪"
- Labyrin from "Healing Good♥PreCure"
- Various other "little friends" from across the franchise history

Special Events and Watch Parties
The marketing team is really pulling out all the stops for this launch. On March 25th, which is just a day before the big release, there will be a special watch party on YouTube. This event is meant to look back on Season 2 and refresh everyone's memory. But the real fun happens at the Family Anime Festa 2026, scheduled for March 28th and 29th at Tokyo Big Sight. Fans can meet Petit Cure Mofurun for a character greeting, and the venue will even distribute sun visors and cards featuring the brand-new visuals.
Moreover, the Toei Animation Museum's YouTube channel is planning to stream carefully selected episodes. These will highlight the moments where "little friends" like Purirun and Meloron played major roles. Starting from March 20th to March 30th, one episode will be released every single day. Just remember that these are for a limited time—you can only watch them for two weeks after they go live.
The Tamagotchi 30th Anniversary Collaboration
Perhaps the most exciting update is the collaboration with Tamagotchi, which is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary. They have introduced a new product called Puchikyu Acchi. This is honestly such a cool idea because you can take care of more than 30 different Petit Cure creatures right on your Tamagotchi device. It's truly a great way to experience the Pretty Cure universe in a more interactive format. There is even a feature where the Tamagotchis might come and visit you!
Pre-orders for this limited collaboration have already started today, March 19th, on Premium Bandai. Given how popular both brands are, these might sell out pretty fast, so you might want to check it out soon.
