The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 5 has been officially announced to air in 2027. Along with the announcement, a teaser PV and visual were released, showcasing Naofumi and the Four Holy Heroes. 
The story follows Naofumi Iwatani, a university student who is summoned to another world as the Shield Hero, one of the Four Holy Heroes. The TV anime has been broadcast in several seasons, with the latest season ending in September 2025.
Season 5 Staff and Cast
The main staff for Season 5 includes Director Takawa, Series Composition by Keigo Koyanagi, and Character Design by Franziska van Wulfen, Sana Komatsu, and Masahiro Suwa. Teaser PV and Visual
The released teaser PV showcases the Season 5 teaser visual, featuring a monochrome illustration of Naofumi and the Four Holy Heroes standing back to back. The visual has a red logo created specifically for this season, giving it a strong presence. 
Director Takawa commented on the production, saying, "Naofumi and his friends have been steadily preparing for the upcoming battle with the Phoenix, together with the other three heroes and new friends. All of us on the staff are working hard on the production so that everyone can enjoy Naofumi and his friends' new adventure to the fullest."
