Shinden Samurai Trooper Season 2 Episode 13 Released

The synopsis and preliminary scene cut of the 2nd season episode 13 "Shinsho" of the summer anime "Shinden Samurai Trooper", which will start broadcasting from July 7, 2026 (Tuesday), has been released.

The Story So Far

"Shinden Samurai Trooper" is a TV anime that is a legitimate sequel to "Samurai Trooper", which depicts a completely original story set in modern-day Shinjuku. The film will be produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks' animation production studio SUNRISE Studios under the direction of Yoichi Fujita, director of "Gintama" and "Osomatsu-san."

The Samurai Troopers are played by five gorgeous cast members who have appeared in numerous popular works, including Yosai Ishibashi who plays the main character Gai, Junya Enoki who plays Kaito Uesugi, Ayumu Murase who plays Musashi Hojo, Shunsuke Takeuchi who plays Yamato Hojo, and Kentaro Kumagai who plays Shion Ishida.

New Threat Emerges

After about 40 years, the first season started on January 6, 2026, and related words such as "Samurai Trooper" and "Nasty" were trending on X (formerly Twitter) and became a hot topic when the first episode was broadcast. The 12th and final episode was broadcast on March 24th, and the first season was coming to an end while many fans were excited by the appearance of the original Samurai Trooper.

The story of the second season begins three months after defeating the demon king Roma and saving Tokyo from the invasion of the demon world. The city was undergoing reconstruction, and people were enjoying the peace that had returned to them. However, a new threat named "Celestial World" appears before humanity. Yashima no Sagume and the four beast warriors under his command have begun to take action to "remake the world anew." Thus begins a new battle for the Samurai Troopers.

Episode 13 “Shinsho” synopsis

Three months have passed since Gai sacrificed himself and put an end to the Youja Rebellion. At DST, a new commander has been appointed to replace Nasty, and Tokyo, which had been in a state of destruction, is showing signs of recovery. While the people were enjoying peace, only the Kaito felt a sense of unsatisfaction with Gai's absence.

However, something strange is happening again in the sky above Tokyo, giving a sense of the return of evil spirits. Kaito and his friends head to the demon world to find out the cause, and find Gai petrified at the Fountain of Death.

The 13th episode of the 2nd season of the summer anime "Shinden Samurai Trooper", "Shinsho", will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, Kansai TV, and BS11 from July 7th (Tuesday).
