The baseball team's captain, Haruto Kai, is a very passionate guy who is always on the lookout for new talent. When he sees Suruga, he doesn't just see a shy boy; he notices his impressive physique, specifically his butt, and decides to scout him immediately. At first, Suruga is quite hesitant and even refuses to join the club because of his introverted personality. He is not used to being around people, let alone playing in a team where everyone is constantly shouting and pushing each other. But as the story progresses, we see Tsutomu Suruga slowly coming out of his shell and learning the true meaning of teamwork through high school baseball.
