New Release: Yankee High School Student Faces the Challenges of Parenting
The first volume of the physical paper version of Yurie Ono's popular manga, Love and childcare are too difficult for Yankees, has finally hit the shelves today, February 26th. This work, which was originally written by Hikari Adachihara, has been making quite some waves in the digital space, and now fans can finally hold the printed copy in their hands. It is a very heartwarming yet funny take on how life can take a total U-turn when you least expect it.

A Tough Delinquent Meets a Tiny Challenge
The story follows Natsuon Aoki, who is your typical "Yankee" high school student—tough on the outside and always ready for a scrap. However, her life changes completely when she ends up living with her mother and a small child named Kotori. Kotori is actually the child of Natsuon's older brother, who unfortunately passed away in a tragic accident. Because Natsuon looks so much like her late brother, little Kotori has become very attached to her.
Even though Kotori is still dealing with the heavy shock of losing his father, he is absolutely full of energy and can be very unpredictable. Natsuon, who was used to a completely different kind of lifestyle, starts to realize that being swayed by Kotori’s daily antics isn't actually so bad. This transformation from a tough girl to a caring guardian is one of the big reasons why Yankee High School: Love and Parenthood is a must read for those who enjoy slice-of-life stories.
Love and Comedy in the Kindergarten Yard
As if raising a child wasn't enough, Natsuon’s life gets even more complicated when she starts becoming close to her classmate, Kanau Nanjo. It turns out Kanau’s younger brother is enrolled in the same kindergarten as Kotori. This coincidence brings the two high schoolers together in a very unique way, leading to a sitcom-like atmosphere where Natsuon is constantly busy balancing her feelings and the chaotic world of child-rearing.
