Volume 1 of Zhang Jiya's ``Mystery Island Kitan ~The Journey of the Immortal Boy and the Demon Cat~'' was released today, February 24th.
The island of Taiwan in the 18th century is home to many mysterious spirits. Shanan, a boy carrying a notebook with the power to seal away monsters, travels from north to south with the demon cat Tsuki in order to break the "curse of immortality" that has been placed on him. For some reason, the guardian deity of Sanan's village, the Northern God, is always following Sanan and the others, but it seems that he is not protecting her. There are always strange things everywhere I go... The work is currently being serialized on ASUKA (KADOKAWA).
