Volume 1 of Kame's latest work, ``Nekooni to Shiratama - Wandering turbulent times wa Onigakari'', known for ``Mr. Battuta's Gourmet Night'', was released by Akita Shoten today, June 16th. This is a survival romance set in the turbulent Tang Dynasty of China at the end of the 9th century, depicting a girl who is possessed by a ``gui'' who takes the form of a cat.
The main character is Shiratama (Bayou), a lonely girl who is not blessed with luck. When something unpleasant happened to her, she had a habit of conducting "mental trials" and escaping reality. One day, Shiratama, who was feeling lonely in the forest, was attacked by the opposition party. At that time, a "demon" in the form of a cat possesses Shiratama from a pot held by the opposition party...
