The Inspiration Behind the New Arc
Volume 1 of Shuzaburo Iwami's ``Ogre Craft'' was released by Square Enix today, April 24th. The story is about a reclusive, unemployed girl who becomes involved in brewing craft beer in Akita.
21-year-old unemployed Himeko Hadachi moves from Tokyo to her mother's hometown of Akita after her parents divorce. While wandering around the neighborhood aimlessly, she stumbles upon Ogre Craft, a craft beer brewery that has been renovated from an old warehouse. Himeko meets Nodoka Fudada, who works there, and falls in love with the rich taste of craft beer, and ends up working at Ogre Craft. Currently being serialized in Young Gangan (Square Enix).
A New Found Passion
To commemorate the release of the book, some bookstores will be giving out purchase benefits. The electronic version comes with illustration data.
