About Orebushi
'Orebushi' is a story about Koji Umika, a high school student who suffers from extreme anxiety and has a dull life at school. Armed with a weapon of unbeatable singing, he moves to Tokyo alone from Aomori and strives to become an enka singer. It was serialized in Weekly Big Comic Spirits (Shogakukan) from 1991 to 1993.
At the 'Orebushi Original Art Exhibition', more than 100 original paintings of 'Orebushi' are on display. Many goods created for the original art exhibition are also on sale at the venue.

The Stage Reenactment and New Edition
The original art exhibition commemorates the stage reenactment of 'Orebushi' and the release of the new edition. The play, starring Travis Japan's Genta Matsuda, will run at Tokyo Tatemono Brillia Hall until June 30th, and at Fukuoka's Canal City Theater from July 8th to 12th. Volumes 1 and 2 of the new edition are on sale now. The third and final volume will be released on July 24th.
