The 4K remastered Blu-ray of the OVA "Tenshi no Tamago", which was created by Mamoru Oshii and directed by Yoshitaka Amano, will be released on April 22nd. The special limited edition package and benefits have been unveiled.
“Angel’s Egg 4K Remaster” Special Limited Edition
The special limited edition is a set of 4K ULTRA HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc. The three-sided back case features an illustration of a girl and an egg drawn by Amano all over. The booklet is a reprint of ``Angel's Egg Storyboard Collection'' with a new cover design. At the end of the book, Hayao Miyazaki's ``Reading Storyboards: The Fate of Popular Culture'' is reproduced. In addition, five postcards of image boards drawn by Amano at the time of production are also included. As a video bonus, a ``4K remastered version making-of'' of over 80 minutes is included. The video and audio remastering process, interviews with key staff including Oshii and Amano, and the world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival are also included.
