The anime "Fushigi Yuugi" based on the original work by Yuu Watase has been made into a Blu-ray BOX for the first time. It will be released on August 26th and will include the HD remastered version of the TV series and OVA series.

The Story Behind Fushigi Yuugi
"Fushigi Yuugi" is a fantasy story that begins when junior high school student Miaka Yushiro and her best friend Yui Hongo get sucked into an old book they found in a library. It was serialized in Girls' Comics (Shogakukan). The TV anime aired a total of 52 episodes from April 1995 to March 1996. In 1996, due to its popularity, three OVA episodes with a completely original story were produced, and from 1997 to 1998, a six-episode OVA was produced that visualized volumes 14 to 18 of the original work.
