Additional cast and new PV for the original TV anime "Inherit the Wind" have been released. It was also announced that the series will be broadcast from January 2027, and that the theatrical version will be released in 2026.

``The Inheritance of the Wind'' is a period drama anime that depicts the momentary youth of young people who lived in a turbulent era, using the Shinsengumi as its theme. Aniplex, Live2D, and Drive are joining forces to take on the challenge of new visual expressions using Live2D technology. As an additional cast member, Higa Omori will be playing the role of Kurosuke, the cat of the Shinsengumi camp.
In the new PV, the voices of characters including the main character, Jinsuke Tachikawa, who has lost his memory, appears before the Mibu Roshigumi played by Daisuke Sakuma (Snow Man). Main characters include Souji Okita, assistant to the vice-commander of the Mibu Roshi-gumi who cares about Jinsuke who has lost his memory, Hyogo Koganei, a member of the Mibu-Roshi-gumi like Jinsuke, Toshizo Hijikata, vice-commander of the Mibu Roshi-gumi, and Isamu Kondo, head of the Mibu Roshi-gumi.
The TV anime ``The Inheritance of the Wind'' is broadcast on the CBC/TBS network's ``Agal Anime'' slot on 28 stations nationwide. The director is Tomohiro Kawamura, the script is Yutaka Narui, and the music is by Shigeru Kishida. Character posters of Toshizo Hijikata and Isamu Kondo were also released.
