It has been decided that the TV anime "MAO" based on the original work by Rumiko Takahashi will be broadcast on NHK General every Saturday at 11:45 pm for two consecutive seasons starting April 4th. In addition to the new cast and ending theme, the key visual and first PV have also been released.

Momoka Terasawa plays the role of Otoya, Mao's shikigami; Kazuyuki Okitsu plays the role of Shiranui, the mysterious magician who targets Mao; Motoko Kumai plays the role of Funa Uozumi, Nahana's housekeeper; and Teiko, a female clerk at the coffee shop/milk hall who provides information to Mao. Yoko Hikasa will play Tenko, Risa Shimizu will play Sana, Mao's master's daughter, Rena Ueda will play Yurako, a mysterious woman who works with Shiranui, and Takashi Matsuyama will play Byoki, a cat demon who controls lifespan and seems to have a deep connection with Mao. TRUE's "Juai" will be used as the ending theme. The distribution jacket for "Juai" was drawn by character designer and chief animation director Yoshihito Hishinuma.
Otoya and Nekoki also appear in the key visual along with Mao, Nanoka, Hyakubi, and Kamon. In the first PV, the character voices of the new cast members were unveiled. You can also listen to the opening theme "HEARTLOUD" by Kis-My-Ft2 and the ending theme "Juai" by TRUE.
