Anime project director Hirao's partial footage shown at Cannes

The original animation project "WASTED CHEF (tentative title)" by director Takayuki Hirao of "Movie Love Ponpo-san" has been selected for the "Annecy Animation Showcase" at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, which will be held from May 15th to 17th. In the program's announcement video, a portion of the main video currently in production is shown.

The staff of "Movie Love Pompo-san" has reunited for "WASTED CHEF (tentative name)," with character design by Shingo Adachi, music by Kenta Matsukuma, and production by CLAP. ``Annecy Animation Showcase'' is a program where the creators themselves introduce animations in progress selected from around the world, and director Hirao from ``WASTED CHEF'' and producer Ryoichiro Matsuo of CLAP will be on stage. The presentation will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 local time on May 17th. In the program announcement video, you can watch the video for ``WASTED CHEF (tentative title)'' starting at 30 seconds.

Director Hirao commented, ``The production of the film is currently entering its climax, and it will take some time to complete it, but we are planning to deliver some announcements to you soon, so we hope you look forward to it.'' In addition, a new art board was released as the fourth installment of the ``Film Recipe Notes,'' a project that unravels the works from production materials and settings, and depicts a kitchen with a large workbench, griddle, and various cooking utensils and seasonings.
