"Azakon: The Unwed Girl"

Anne Mitsuko's ``Azakon ~The reason why that girl can't get married~'' has been made into a short drama with the title ``Azakon: How to find the ideal man.'' Chizuru Toda will be played by Nanae Moriya, Mariko Anzai will be played by Mimi Nishino, the director will be Mutsuki Kameyama, and the script will be written by Kana Satouchi.

"Azakon ~The reason why that girl can't get married~" is an original work by Live Comics that has been downloaded over 8.9 million times as an e-book. The story depicts the struggle for marriage between Chizuru, an unpopular woman who has never had a boyfriend, and Mariko, a cute woman who seems to be the embodiment of "popularity", as they take on men with strong habits.

The final three volumes of the original manga will be distributed today, April 17th. The drama will be exclusively distributed in April to coincide with the release of StellaJean, a new platform where you can enjoy video works, novels, and scenarios in one place. To commemorate the distribution of the final three volumes and the short drama adaptation, Book Live is running a campaign from April 17th to May 14th, where volumes 1 to 3 of the single-episode version are free, and volume 1 of the special edition is half price.

Along with this announcement, comments and newly drawn illustrations have arrived from the original author Anne. We received comments from cast members Moriya and Nishino and director Kameyama. Further details of the drama, including the male cast, will be announced later.
