Magic Dreams: The First Episode of Black Cat and Witch's Classroom is Here

The wait is finally getting over for the fans of Yosuke Kaneda. The official team has just released the synopsis and some very cool cut scenes for the very first episode of the upcoming TV anime, Black Cat and Witch's Classroom. This series is actually based on the original work that many of us have been following for a while now, and seeing it finally getting an animation is just great news for the community.

From the first episode of the TV anime "Black Cat and Witch's Classroom," we can already tell that the production quality is looking quite solid. Starting from April 12th, the show will be broadcast in two consecutive seasons on the CBC/TBS 28 network, specifically in the Agal Anime programming block. This long-term broadcast plan is a big relief because it means we get plenty of episodes to enjoy without a long break in between.

Episode 1 Breakdown: Black Cat and Spica

The debut episode is titled "Black Cat and Spica," and it sets the stage for a very magical journey. We meet our main lead, Spica Virgo, a girl who really dreams of becoming a first-class magician. But the problem is, she keeps failing every single day despite her best efforts. Things take a very wild turn when she meets a mysterious black cat that actually speaks the human language. For anyone who loves a good magical academy setting, the classroom of a black cat and a witch is definitely going to be your next favorite watch.

The deal between them is simple but interesting: the cat will teach her magic, and in return, Spica has to help him find a book that can break his feline curse. The released scene cuts show both the black cat and Spica with a lot of different expressions, which basically promises a lot of comedy and heart-felt moments. It is that classic master-apprentice dynamic but with a very quirky twist that makes it stand out from other seasonal shows.

Anime Work Information and Broadcast Details

The series is part of the 2026 Spring Cool lineup, and the buzz around it is quite high in India and across the globe. Since the story is from the creator of Boarding School Juliet, expectations are naturally through the roof.
