This collaboration commemorates the 40th anniversary of the original work of "Chibi Maruko-chan" and the 35th anniversary of the original work of "Crayon Shin-chan." In "Chibi Maruko-chan," which will be published in the May issue of Ribon, which will be released on April 3rd, Maruko and the Nohara family, who are visiting Shizuoka, meet by chance, and Shinnosuke and Maruko get lost together. Ribon's May issue also includes a pouch featuring collaboration art as an appendix.

The first part of "New Crayon Shin-chan" will be published on April 3rd and the second part on April 20th. As a sequel to the episode published in Ribon, the Sakura family visits Kasukabe. The interaction between characters from both works is filled with gags, such as Maruko's father, Hiroshi, and Shinnosuke's father, Hiroshi, who hit it off.

Sakura Productions commented, ``Drawing the interaction between Shin-chan and Maruko was a fun and valuable experience for us, as both of them value the humor and happiness found in everyday life such as family and friends.'' Yoshito Usui & UY Studio said of the collaborative manga, ``The conversation between the Sakura family and the Nohara family has a better tempo than I expected, and I think the story combines the best of the two works.'' In the future, there are plans to develop goods and hold pop-up shops using collaborative art.
