The first PV and first key visual of the TV anime "The Detective is Dead. Season 2" have been released. Plans for the 5th anniversary of the anime broadcast were also announced.
The first PV features a new character, Noches, who looks exactly like Siesta, who was supposed to be dead, and is dressed in a maid outfit. He asks Natsunagi, ``Do you really want to carry on the great detective's legacy?'' Noches is voiced by Saki Miyashita, same as Siesta. The first key visual depicts No Chess, and a setting image of No Chess was also released.
To commemorate the 5th anniversary of broadcasting in July, 5 projects have been prepared. The production of seasonal visuals and voice dramas, the opening of an official anime TikTok account, a theme song cover project, the production of "Siesta ASMR", and the release of a game for Nintendo Switch have been announced. The first seasonal visual is a spring visual depicting Siesta. The voice drama written by the original author Nigoto will be released on April 10th on the YouTube channel KADOKAWA Anime Channel.
The anime's official TikTok account will gradually release clipping videos from the first season. In the theme song cover project, Siesta, played by Miyashita, will cover the first season's opening theme, "Koko de Ikiiteru," and Natsunagi Nagisa, played by Ayana Taketatsu, will cover the first season's ending theme, "Kodo." "Siesta ASMR" is a work that delivers a pleasant daydream-like moment spent with Siesta, and is currently in production. Titles for Nintendo Switch will be sold by Taito Games. The key visual for the same work was also released.
