Daisy Yamada's new series ``Divorced Mermaid, Drowning in Love'' started in the May issue of Cocohana (Shueisha), released today, March 27th.
The 32-year-old protagonist, Mizuho, gets divorced after 10 years of marriage due to her husband cheating on her and decides to return to her parents' home. On the way, they stop by the sea and discover a drowning man. Mizuho, who has the temperament of a committee president and cannot turn a blind eye, tries to rescue him, regardless of the danger to herself, but ends up drowning herself. When Mizuho wakes up, she is in a guest house run by the man she tried to help... Mizuho, who is serious and doesn't like men, begins a mature love affair.
