Expelled from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart Stage Event at AnimeJapan 2026

A very exciting stage event for the upcoming movie Expelled from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart was held today, March 29th. The event took place at the Aniplex booth during AnimeJapan 2026, and it was packed with fans. The four main cast members were all there together: Ayane Sakura, who plays the role of Gabriel, Saori Hayami as Alma, Yoshino Aoyama as Danel, and Sally Amagi as Raguel. To everyone's surprise, Director Seiji Mizushima also made a sudden appearance on the stage, which really pumped up the crowd.

A New Chapter Beyond the Original Story

The movie Expelled from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart is officially scheduled to hit the theatres on November 13th. This film is being called a "new story beyond" the original 2014 masterpiece created by Gen Urobuchi and Seiji Mizushima. It’s quite special because the original staff has reunited to draw this new world. This event was actually the first time the four main voice actors gathered in public since they were announced back in November 2025. The video showed the expressive faces of the four new characters and some really flashy action involving a two-seat mecha called the Ahan. After the screening, Ayane Sakura said that seeing the characters moving helped her finally understand their personalities clearly. Yoshino Aoyama was also super impressed, commenting that the mecha action looks "really cool" and she wants to see more of it.

Following the video, a quick reading of the synopsis was presented. It hinted at a continuation of the world we saw before, but now there is a new threat called the Fallen. Saori Hayami seemed very intrigued by the "interesting words" used in the story. They also showed a new visual of a massive aircraft called the Mega Ahan, designed by Kanetake Ebikawa. The cast members were so excited that they actually got up from their seats to get a closer look at the screen.

Messages for the Fans

Director Seiji Mizushima teased the fans by saying there are still many hidden elements they can't talk about yet. He mentioned that there are more characters and even better actions coming up. Regarding the bright red Mega Ahan, he promised it looks even sharper and cooler in the actual movie.
