Universal Studios Japan and Funeral Freelen: A Historic Immersive Collaboration
Universal Studios Japan in Osaka has finally announced its very first collaboration with the popular TV anime Funeral Freelen, which is based on the original work by Kaneto Yamada and Tsukasa Abe. This is quite a big deal for fans because the series has been gaining so much love lately. The park is introducing a brand-new attraction titled Funeral Freelen Story Walk ~Reminiscence Journey~. This experience is set to open on Stage 18 and will run from May 30th all the way until January 11th, 2027, giving plenty of time for travelers to visit.

This attraction is being developed as the very first installment of a fresh format called the Universal Story Walk. It is an immersive way to experience the story where you aren't just watching, but actually participating. In this attraction, guests take on the role of travelers who arrive at the magical city of Oythurst. Here, you will get to meet Frieren, Fern, and Stark's group in person, which is surely a dream for many who feel that beyond journey's end: why frieren is a masterpiece of fantasy and emotion is something everyone should experience.
The story follows Frieren as she is invited into the magic book library of the Continental Magic Association. Thanks to a special "magic to relive the past" that she finds in an old magic book, the memories of her precious journey are recreated right before your eyes.
