Originally a hit story written by Arata Shiraishi and illustrated by Kentaro, this series is quickly becoming a hot topic. Now, Ephthal enters a magic academy, and you can imagine how he starts dominating everyone with his "cheat" level skills. New Voice Cast and Characters
The latest announcement from AnimeJapan 2026 has introduced four very talented voice actors to the team. These characters are going to play a huge role in shaping Ephthal’s journey during his second life. Here is the list of the new cast members:
- Hiroki Higashichi: He will be voicing the older version of Hephthal from his previous life—the wise man who was known as the "Thunder God Emperor."
- Ayaka Fukuhara: She takes on the role of Hephthal during his childhood years, right after his second reincarnation.
- Emiri Kato: Playing the role of Ilia, who is Hephthal's mother in this new life.
- Daisuke Hirakawa: He voices Fraser, the half-brother who supports the protagonist.
It’s great to see such veteran names coming together for this project. The teaser PV actually gives us a glimpse of Hephthal's past life where he helped defeat the Demon King, contrasted with his new life where he awakens as the most powerful magician once again. We also see Anastasia, a girl who had a very tough time as a slave before meeting Hephthal, and Merlin, his former student who is now a big shot at the magic academy.
Broadcasting Details
The TV anime is set to start its broadcast in July. You can catch it on various channels like TOKYO MX, ABC TV, BS Fuji, and WOWOW. The main roles are being handled by Shuichiro Umeda (Hephthal), Reo Koyamauchi (Anastasia), and Haruka Shiraishi (Merlin).
