From the original TV anime "Inheritance of the Wind", a newly drawn "four season illustration" "Spring" and a short story "Okita's Aotan" written by Yutaka Narui, who is in charge of the original story and script, have been released.

The spring illustration shows Toshizo Hijikata, vice-commander of the Mibu Roshi-gumi, and Isamu Kondo, the chief of the Mibu Roshi-gumi, sitting on the verandah of the outpost enjoying the cherry blossoms, as well as a picture of Kurosuke sleeping next to Kondo. In addition, the short story ``Okita's Blue Tongue'' depicts scenes from the daily lives of Souji Okita, Hijikata, Kondo, and others. ``The Inheritance of the Wind'' will be released in advance in theaters within this year, and will begin broadcasting in January 2027 on the CBC/TBS 28 network network ``Agal Anime'' slot. It is a historical drama anime that depicts the brief youth of young people who lived in a turbulent era, using the Shinsengumi as its theme. Aniplex, Live2D, and Drive are joining forces to take on the challenge of new visual expressions using Live2D technology. Daisuke Sakuma (Snow Man) will play the role of the main character Jinsuke Tachikawa, as well as Yuki Kaji as Okita, Aoi Yuki as Hyogo Koganei, Koki Uchiyama as Hijikata, Yuichi Nakamura as Kondo, and Himasa Omori as Kurosuke.
