A talk event between Izumi Okaya and Natsuko Taniguchi titled ``Drawing a protagonist who is not young'' will be held at the Aoyama Book Center main store in Tokyo on May 9th. There will also be an autograph session with Okaya after the talk event.

This event will be held to commemorate the release of the first volume of Okaya's new book ``Hitogotogoto'' on April 10th. The main character of ``Hitogotogoto'' is a 44-year-old single woman, and the two talk about themes such as ``drawing a protagonist who is not young'' and about their respective manga productions. Taniguchi commented on his X account with enthusiasm, ``I'm not allowed to do talk events because I have anxiety, but I'll do my best as if this is the last talk event of my life for Okaya-san!''
