Ken Sozono's ``Kagurabachi'' will be made into a TV anime in April 2027, produced by Cypic (formerly Cygames Pictures). Main staff and cast information, teaser visuals, and teaser PV have been released all at once.

``Kagurabachi'' is a sword fighting action game starring Chihiro Rokuhira, a boy who aspires to become a swordsmith. The days of endless laughter between Senko and his father, Kunishige, a renowned swordsmith, are brutally torn apart by an attack by the mysterious organization of sorcerers called Hishaku. The six magical swords, which are so powerful that they can influence the fate of the nation, are also taken away, and Senmei, driven by hatred, sets out on a path of bloody revenge with the seventh magical sword, Enten, left behind by his father.
The Inspiration Behind the New Arc
The original work is being serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha), and with the latest volume 11 released on May 1st, the total number of copies published, including the digital version, has exceeded 4 million copies. So far, it has been selected as first place in the comics category of the ``Next Manga Awards 2024,''' and has been attracting attention, with Kohei Horikoshi, Vaundy, and Masashi Kishimoto contributing recommendation comments on the obi.
Staff and Cast
The role of Senmine will be played by Tahi Kimura, who won the New Voice Actor Award at the 20th Voice Actor Awards in 2025. The director is Tetsuya Takeuchi, who was the action animation director for ``Sword Art Online II'' and the battle scene storyboard, direction, and animation director for ``Heaven's Great Demons,'' and the character design is handled by Keigo Sasaki, known for works such as ``Blue Exorcist'' and ``The Seven Deadly Sins.'' Along with this announcement, a congratulatory illustration and comment have arrived from Gaison. Comments were also received from director Takeuchi, character designer Sasaki, and cast member Kimura.
The teaser visual depicts Senmine looking straight ahead with a sharp gaze, with a backdrop of three dancing goldfish: Aka, Kuro, and Nishiki. The teaser PV starts with a scene in a forge where swords are created, which is one of the main themes of the work. Set in Japan, where modern and Japanese modern scenes intertwine, the beginning of the story of Senko's revenge is vividly shown.
