An exhibition commemorating the 40th anniversary of the anime adaptation of the pilot version of Izumi Matsumoto's ``Kimagure Orange Road'' will be held at Yurakucho Marui in Tokyo from May 23rd to June 7th.

The Pilot Version and Its History
A pilot version of the anime created for the 1985 event "Jump Special Anime Grand March." The exhibition was also held at Marui City Yokohama in Kanagawa in 2025. At the venue, in addition to the opening and ending footage recorded on the pilot version VHS, Matsumoto's valuable PV footage will be screened.
Exhibits and Goods
In addition to exhibits similar to those at the Yokohama venue, including original drawings drawn at the time by anime character designer Akemi Takada, two new illustrations will be unveiled for the first time. Postcards will also be available as an admission bonus. Three types of designs were lined up for the Yurakucho venue.

Goods such as Takada's autographed prints, a set of reproduction setting drawings in envelopes inspired by original manuscript bags, and art tiles and acrylic stands featuring new illustrations are also on sale. If you purchase goods worth 3,000 yen or more (tax included) at the venue, you will be able to enter a lottery to win items such as an ``Event Key Visual Poster Autographed by Akemi Takada'' per transaction. Takada's autograph session will also be held on June 6th. The first 100 people who spend 5,000 yen or more including tax at the venue will be able to participate. Details will be announced later on the special event page.
