"Tax-Funded Bookshop Drama & Anime"

It has been decided that Sui Keiyama's ``The Book I Bought with Taxes'', based on Zui's original work, will be made into a drama and TV anime.

``The Book I Bought with Taxes'' is a work comedy that revolves around Kiichi Ishihira, a Yankee high school student, who visits the library for the first time in 10 years. Ishihira starts working part-time at a library where unique staff members work hard every day for the benefit of the users, and he learns that there are various rules and jobs that allow everyone to encounter books and enjoy the joy of learning about them. It is currently being serialized in Young Magazine (Kodansha), and up to 18 volumes have been published.

The drama will begin broadcasting on NHK General this summer. It will be aired from 22:45 to 23:00 from Monday to Thursday. The script is by Riko Sakaguchi, the music is by Kei Yoshikawa, the direction is by Hiroyuki Muramatsu and Kiminori Sakanashi, and Daikane Okudaira will appear.
