The full-length animated film "CHERRY AND VIRGIN" will be released in 2027. The latest footage and scene cuts from the same work have been released.

``CHERRY AND VIRGIN'' is a love story between Ryo Honda, an erotic manga artist who is struggling with his creative writing, and Ami Enomoto, a rotten girl who has failed in her dream of becoming a professional writer and is not good with real men. The story depicts how two young people who have never been in a real relationship come to know the pain and love of living with others, even though they are confused. Takashi Daimon will play the role of Ryo, and Yaeko Kiyose will play the role of Ami. The director is Masayoshi Kawajiri, who won the ``40th Pia Film Festival Second Grand Prix'' for his short animated film ``A Japanese Painter''. The film was originally scheduled for release in 2022.

The video was released only to crowdfunding supporters, and it shows Ryo and Ami's small but unexpectedly big incident. The video for "CHERRY AND VIRGIN" is expressed using "rotoscope," an animation production method based on live-action footage. The video is a mix of live-action cuts, manga-style footage, and delicate, colorful illustrations.

Staff information was also released. The character designs for the two main characters were done by different manga artists. Ryo will be handled by Katsuya Takayanagi, who mainly produces works for adults, and Ami will be handled by Ryo Nakaharu, who is currently serializing ``26-Year-Old Virgin, Embraced by a Chara Male Boss.'' Image board and color design by illustrator Mick Maeda. Nishizawa 5mm also appeared as a guest in an avatar designed by himself, and also did some dubbing as himself.

Comments have arrived from Director Kawajiri. ``We were just one step away from completing it. It's a work that was challenging in many ways and went through a lot of hard work. Please wait just a little longer,'' he said of his thoughts.
