Introduction to Soul of Sole: A Unique Crossover Project
The world of entertainment is constantly evolving, and the latest buzz is all about Soul of Sole. This isn't just any regular show; it is a very unique "crossover male voice actor unit project" that is bringing together different worlds like anime, music, manga, and even tap dance. It is quite a fresh concept that has already started making waves. To get things moving, the team has officially announced that the 1st Generation Member Audition is now open for applications. The project has already introduced some very interesting characters to the fans. In the top row from left, we have Aoi Ritsu, Minato Chikazaki, and Zii. Then in the bottom row from left, we see Rusei Arane, Soma Koshinuki, and Yuuri. Each of these characters seems to have a very distinct personality, which makes the whole Soul of Sole universe feel very deep. If you are a fan of these mediums, you will understand why you need to experience the anime and manga journey that this project is promising to deliver.
The Setting: Life at Onsho Gakuen
The story of Soul of Sole is set in a very specific place called Onsho Gakuen. It is a boys' school tucked away in a corner of Shinjuku. Now, this isn't your typical school; it is a place where students can actually learn about serious entertainment fields like games and dance. Because of this, the school is packed with young people who come from all sorts of backgrounds. Our main guy, Soma Koshiki, transferred here with a major in games. But fate had something else in mind. He ends up discovering tap dancing at the school, and very soon, he and his new friends start working towards a dream they never knew they had.
Creative Vision and Character Roles
The original plan for this whole thing comes from PICKUP. To make sure the dance elements are top-notch, they have brought in HideboH as the planning director. He is a very famous tap dancer who does everything from choreography to composition and direction. You might even know him from his work on the tap choreography for the Netflix movie Asakusa Kid. With his involvement, the dance parts are going to be really authentic.
As mentioned, six main characters have been revealed so far, and they all have their own specialisations within the school:
- Ritsumuao: A student who is majoring in anime and manga.
- Ryusei Nijiner: He focuses on the technical side with a major in video creation.
- Zii: A student dedicated to the art of dance performance.
- Minato Chikazaki: This character is the vocal talent of the group.
- Yuuri: He isn't a student, but a dance performance teacher and the advisor for the tap dance circle.
Join the Audition and Shape the Future
For those who want to be a part of this, the audition application period is currently live from March 23rd to April 20th. It is going to be a very rigorous process with a first, second, and third audition, followed by a final round. The final debut members will be chosen between September and October this year. Those who are lucky enough to be selected will become the first generation of Soul of Sole. This means they will be getting their hands dirty with all sorts of activities, including dubbing for the anime, recording music, and appearing in talk shows.
