The Story of Tsurikomachi
“Tsurikomachi” is a “girls fishing manga” serialized in Young Gangan (Square Enix) from 2021 to 2024. This is a coming-of-age story about Marimo Tateyama, a high school girl who was called a genius fishing girl at the age of 9, but was unable to pursue her romantic dreams after an accident. Through her encounter with Tetora, a passionate girl, she aims to win a gold medal in fishing again. While it depicts the friendships and rivalries of cute girls who are obsessed with the fun of fishing, it also features many authentic fishing knowledge and realistic fishing depictions.

Creator's Thoughts on the Live-Action Film
When making the live-action film, Yamazaki said, ``This work was born out of a feeling that the fishing industry was in decline as the terrestrial fishing programs that I looked forward to as a child were disappearing one after another, and I thought, ``Is there something I can do to improve fishing?'' I have continued to draw with the hope that I can convey the charm of fishing," he said, adding, "If this film can help convey the joy and depth of fishing to more people, and if it can boost the industry even a little, then nothing would make me happier." Cast information, staff, and release date will be announced at a later date.
