Yuki Kuniyasu has adapted Mori Ogai's novel "Vita Sexalis" into a manga. The book was released today, March 5th, by KADOKAWA Masterpiece Comics, a series that comicizes famous books from around the world and Japan.
``Vita Sexalis'' is a story in which philosopher Shizuka Kanai reminisces about his own sexual experiences, saying, ``I wonder if I should write the history of my sexual desire.'' The original work is known as an autobiographical and experimental novel by the literary great Mori. For the comic adaptation, novelist Keisuke Hada contributed a recommendation. They commented, ``The protagonist's sexual desire, which he has been repressing and hiding inside, explodes.The result is a visual masterpiece that perfectly conveys how his self, unable to resist it, swallows fear and undergoes a complete transformation.''
