``When I Reincarnated as a Sword'', based on the novel by Yuu Tanagashi, is an ``inorganic reincarnation fantasy'' that depicts the adventures of the main character, who was reincarnated in another world as a sword, and Fran, a cat-eared girl who equips him and calls him ``master''. The second season depicts Master and Fran's journey to a floating island high in the sky. The PV showed Fran and his friends challenging the "army of the dead" filled with grudges, as well as Jean Douby, the dark guide who will appear in the second season.

The first season of “I Got Reincarnated as a Sword” aired from October to December 2022. The role of Master will be played by Shinichiro Miki, the role of Fran will be played by Ai Kakuma, and the role of Jean Deuby will be played by Yuma Uchida.
